Les demons ont emmenee Dawn dans le repere de Sweet et lorsqu'elle se reveille, elle danse avec plusieurs d'entre eux jusqu'a ce que Sweet arrive et se mette a chanter. Il dit a Dawn qu'elle est sa reine et qu'il va l'emmener avec elle mais lorsque Dawn mentionne sa soeur la Tueuse, Sweet ordonne a ses demons d'aller la chercher pour la voir bruler vive.

Pendant ce temps, a la boutique, Buffy s'entraine avec Giles. Il se rend compte qu'elle ne sera jamais independante s'il reste a Sunnydale bien qu'il souhaite etre la pour la soutenir. Il lui chante que c'est lui qui l'empeche d'avancer dans la vie mais elle ne l'entend pas.

A la maison, Dawn a revele a Tara qu'elle et Willow s'etaient disputees. Tara accourt donc a la boutique et lit dans un livre que la plante qu'elle a trouve sous son oreiller sert a faire oublier des choses. Elle est aneantie par la trahison de sa petite amie et elle et Giles chantent a Willow et Buffy qu'ils ne peuvent rester avec elles.

A la boutique, un demon a prevenu tout le monde que Sweet a Dawn. Giles insiste pour que Buffy y aille seule. Buffy s'en va alors apres avoir rejete Spike et chante qu'elle se sent froide et qu'elle n'a plus qu'a "marcher a travers les flammes" pour retrouver Dawn. Ses amis decident finalement d'aller l'aider.
